Thank you for taking so good care of us during our stay in our rented villa in
Mijas in week 42 and helping make our family celebration with three generations
a wonderful, energizing and relaxing vacation.
After looking through the
list of big catering companies we found thehomecookingco.com on the Internet -
exactly what we wanted - a passionate personality who could bring the taste of
Spain into our rented villa. We spoke on the telephone and after a few emails
everything was planned in the smoothest manner.
Our rented villa was as we hoped with lots of space and a wonderful view.
Camelia and Richard were there to welcome us mid afternoon with their warm and
relaxed personalities and a beautifully laid table with the most delicious
foods and wines. It was immediate stress-down.

catered for us 5 evenings plus the welcoming lunch and they also did the
initial stock up based on our shopping list - so there was no to-dos once we
set our feet on the villa grounds. Camelia and Richard are passionate about
what they do and that shows not just in the delicious home cooked food made on
location from fresh produce but also in all the little things such as serving
of excellent local wines, giving tips on where to go and what not to waste time
on, finding you in your sun lounger to ask if you would care for a cold drink
or a glass of wine before dinner, thinking about the needs of the children and
other little surprises.
Two wonderful people who do an excellent job and who at the same time are an
extra beam of sunlight in your house. We can warmly recommend this kind of
vacation and that you book Camelia and Richard for taking care of you with
delicious foods, friendly service and shopping. It is affordable luxury and
pure relaxation.

It doesn't seem possible that we have been back
over a week now from our yoga week in Spain with you. Unforgettable however, was your amazing care and
cooking for us; I have regaled all my friends endlessly with tales, not only of
your incredible feasts, but also of your kindness and love towards us all.
Without you the week would have been a fraction as enjoyable; you truly spoiled
us in every way possible. Thank you both so much for everything.
Karen tells us that we have a different venue next
year for our cooking cum yoga week. I shall definitely be there; even my
husband is keen to join us in order to learn to cook- you can see how
persuasive I have been in singing your praises!

"Camelia provided the most fantastic meals during our week's yoga holiday, 4th - 11th June 2011.
She put on beautiful lunches using a selection of the best local
produce. Every day was different and she introduced us to many local
dishes which were lovely.
The themed evening meals were amazing. I have no idea how she managed
to source everything for our Indian evening. Our final evening of
Morroccan food was a triumph.
She was extremely understanding of people's dietary requirements and prepared to adapt accordingly.
Camelia is very passionate about the food she produces and that passion shines through.
Overall Richard and Camelia were lovely hosts and really made the holiday special"

‘Camelia and her wonderful husband catered for 11 of us for my
Mum’s 60th Birthday in Mijas, Spain. They arrived
promptly and quietly and set about their business efficiently in a hot and
small kitchen! They were good humoured when we all emerged dress in our 60’s
outfits and served the most delicious food and canapés. The tapas starters of
prawns pil pil with feta and figs with mozzarella and Serrano ham, along with
tortilla and red pepper salad were scrumptious, only to be outdone by delicate
Dorada in a saffron sauce with rosemary potatoes and roasted vegetables, the
infamous magic strawberries rounded of the meal and positively fizzed in our
mouths! The whole experience was a delight and they even arranged personalised
bottles of rose for us! When we return to the area we will definitely be

Our 14 strong party have now returned home from our glorious villa holiday in
Torre del Mar, where the icing on our wonderful cake was provided by
yourselves.
Having booked a lunch menu as well as an evening dinner it is always a concern,
when the diners ages range from 14 to 57 that everyone will be catered for. No
worries, it was a unanimous vote that the two occassions were the highlight of
the holiday for all concerned.
The sheer variety of dishes and the first class presentation of the feasts were
second to none. All tastes were catered for, with a mouth watering array of
local and traditional delicacies. The silence from the gathered diners as you
presented and described what was before us was delightful.
As a team you cover every aspect of what a meal should be, from the service at
table to the personalised, magnificent wine you provided.
Even your recommendations on where to eat locally for the remainder of our stay
was spot on.
For anyone going to this part of Espana, if you want to turn a lovely holiday
into a truly memorable one then a meal provided by Camelia is the way to do so.

The two of you truly made an amazing vacation extraordinary. I was genuinely
impressed with the variety of food served and all of the special touches you
incorporated for our extra-large group, day after day, meal after meal! The
flavors were scrumptious and presentation spectacular - and this is coming from
someone who has trotted the globe for business dinners for well over a decade.
My favorite part was that you both did it with such enthusiasm, pride and joy!
No details were spared . . . every day you surprised us with something
different, tailored to the requests of the group and unique. Thanks too for the
Tortilla de Patatas lessons - will be trying in my kitchen in New York! Please
